Design 3 Logos
A logo, also known as a trademark, is an identifying mark for a product, service, or organization.
Choose three from the following six types of companies, and design a logo for each of those three companies in Adobe Illustrator:
- bank / insurance / financial management
- health care (doctor / clinic / hospital / medical research)
- sports team / equipment / video game
- charity (for food bank or homeless, but not for health issues)
- plant business (florist, landscape maintenance, etc.)
Begin by drawing 8-12 thumbnail sketches in order to generate ideas from which to choose to develop your final designs.
Two of your three company's logo designs must incorporate an image of at least one human hand.
Complete your 24 or more thumbnails (pencil on paper) by: Tuesday, November 13th.
Complete your final three logos in Adobe Illustrator by: Friday, November 30th.

ArtLex has thousands of articles about art terms used in art production, art criticism, art history, aesthetics, and art education. I created ArtLex for my students, to help them increase their understanding of art concepts, readings, writings, and conversations. Some of the hyperlinks found on the pages about my elementary art program will take you to ArtLex articles about terms on these pages.
I have taught art at three elementary schools in the Paradise Valley Unified School district (northeastern Phoenix and north Scottsdale) from 1986-. I began publishing information about my classes on the Web in 1995. I taught at Pinnacle High School during the 2001-2002 school year, and posted these lessons that year. I will maintain them as time permits.
